Oldmachar: An "Eco-School"

In events never seen before since the times of Mr. Leaper and the healthy eating PR exercise, (local TV and media love this stuff) Oldmachar has decided to follow the example of our European counterparts and recycle paper and go "Eco". However, behind this obvious attempt to impose an image of green hippiness lays some fundamental flaws.

Presenting an image of recycling paper waste, many don't see the hundreds of notices, bulletins, registers, notes, newsletters and generic paper which are forwarded to teachers and register classes. Not once ether, in many cases the office give three times the volume, just in case a teacher didn’t notice the others, or lost the first, or second for that matter.

Hmm... Effective use of paper resources.

Is that a rainforest i hear being demolished to serve the bureaucratic Empire that is Oldie?

Until the practice of what seems to be an addiction to overzealous distribution of unneeded announcements and unfit management of resources, no matter what the administration or local media say, Oldie shall never be an "Eco-school" until this culture of hypocrisy dies.

Ironically, the office even send out announces to every class announcing the fact we're eco-friendly. On paper!

That is great! Maybe I should suggest to our teacher the concept use to produce this eco-school.

Hey.

This has been bugging me for quite some time.

Does no one notice how the lights are kept on over the holidays?
And in classrooms there are notices telling the last person in the room to switch ON the heater before they leave for the night?
And yeah, how many teachers actually cycle to school?

I'm curious, is there any chance I could find out who writes this blog?

HA.

The Eco-School flag is down.
Now it's a Scottish flag.

But I don't actually know why.
At least it has proper use, you know, in case anyone forgets where we are?
It's still better than the two plasma screens no one pays any attention to.
